Blanka Wawrzyniak

Research Fellow

Blanka Wawrzyniak is a lawyer and a researcher with international experience gained through traineeships in the European Commission (Brussels), the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union (Brussels), Allen & Overy (Warsaw). At the ODI she will be conducting research focused on the value of healthcare data and incentives for patients to share their data for secondary use.

Her study will aim to identify the best-suited model for medical data sharing, estimate how people subjectively value their health data, and to what extent they are aware of the potential benefits of data re-use. As a leader of the Digital Economy program at Instrat Foundation, Blanka works on projects related to data openness & data sovereignty, the future of work & gig economy sector, digital rights & AI ethics.

Outside of her professional life, Blanka is interested in plant-based cuisine and enjoys practicing yoga, traveling & scuba diving (she is a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver).

Blanka Wawrzyniak is a Research Fellow as part of our 2023 fellowship scheme.
