Su Kahumbu is a Social Technovator and the Founder of iCow

Su Kahumbu, is a Tech-innovator, passionate farmer and Ankole breeder recognised as a pioneer in the organic sector in Africa.

She is the CEO and Chief Hustler of Green Dreams TECH Ltd and founder of the award-winning smallholder farmer agricultural extension platform iCow (winner of the Girst Apps4Africa Award, Vision 2030 Innovation Award for Agriculture in Kenya, and finalist in the Innovation Prize for Africa 2012)

Su’s recent work includes developing an iCow Soil Advocacy Program transforming farmers and motorbike taxi riders into soil extension agents and she is currently setting up the first African Soil Biology Service for smallholder farmers in Kenya.

Su is a TED Global Fellow and sits on the Advisory Board of The Changing Course in Global Agriculture and the Board of Governors of the Mpesa Foundation Academy.

A mother of 3, Su lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya.
