In his career as a Pablo Villareal Soberanes, he has promoted open government and the fight against corruption through technological innovation.
He is currently the Head of the National Digital Platform, Mexico´s first public platform based on standardized and open data from strategic sectors, to generate intelligence to fight corruption. In the Ministry of Public Administration, he contributed to position Mexico as a regional leader in open government and open data.
He was part of the negotiating team for the anti-corruption chapter of the Mexico, United States and Canada Free Trade Agreement (T-MEC). In the National Digital Strategy of the Office of the President, he was in charge of the development of the 2013-2015 Open Government Action Plan.
Also, he worked in the Ministry of Economy where he promoted the role of Mexico in international markets. He obtained a Fullbright scholarship and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University. He has a degree in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana
