Justin Gillis is a director at Generation Investment Management, in London, in charge of producing that firm’s annual Sustainability Trends Report. He is the co-author, with Hal Harvey, of “The Big Fix,” a book about how to solve global warming. He spent a decade as a reporter for The New York Times covering environmental science, with a special focus on climate change, and remains a contributing opinion writer for the newspaper.
He previously worked at The Miami Herald and The Washington Post. He has been a Knight Science Journalism fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford, and a fellow at Harvard. He is a native of the American state of Georgia.
