In 1989, when ODI President and Co-Founder Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, the idea of sharing data and knowledge was at the heart of his vision.
He saw how scientists wanted to share their findings with others around the world and wondered whether their computers, and millions more, could somehow connect together through the internet.
Twenty-five years later, Sir Tim kicked off the ODI Summit looking at the story so far. Alongside, we put together a newspaper looking at how the web, open data and open innovation have shaped the past and present and how they are shaping the future.
